GLENFIELD WI HAVE changed the venue of their meeting on 21st July to be held at Glenfield Methodist Church for this meeting only. Notty Hornblower will give a presentation on “A Promenade through a Century of Fashion”. A light supper will be served at this meeting. Visitors will be most welcomed and can order the plated supper by ringing the president Ruth Fenney on 0116 287 4114.

Sheelagh Powell gave a demonstration on “Makeup Tips for the More Mature Woman” and with eager anticipation the members keenly observed her apply makeup to the face of a lucky volunteer member. Sheelagh is a freelance professional makeup artist who works to prepare faces for events such as photo shoots, special occasions and weddings.

Working through the full routine of the application of makeup, she was able to give members much useful advice concerning products, utensils, colours and methods of application. Many members will no doubt, be motivated to experiment with new products or colours in the future.
